Visiting procedure

Please find below our guidance notes for visitors. Due to the nature and location of the project we kindly advise that all visitors follow these notes. Please make sure you have either your passport or photographic driver’s license with you for your visit. To ensure a fast entry through prison security, please do not bring the following items on your visit:

• Mobile phones, pagers, cameras and laptop computers
• Cigarettes and other smoking materials
• Chewing gum, mints, etc.
• Cash, cheque books, credit and bank cards
• Pills, tablets and medicine, unless already cleared by the specific prison to be visited
• Sharp objects, such as nail files, pen knifes, etc.
• Stamps, phone cards or mobile phone top-up cards
• Handbags, briefcases or rucksacks
• Expensive watches and jewellery

There is a lunch break at approximately 1 p.m. Refreshments will be available, but lunch is not provided. If you are staying with the Crime Diversion Scheme all day you are permitted to bring your own lunch. If you are doing so please ensure the following:

• Do not bring homemade sandwiches, cakes, etc.
• Do not bring any fruit
• All food brought inside must by factory sealed, i.e. supermarket sandwiches, crisps, cans etc.
• If using a bag please use a carrier bag
