About us

The Crime Diversion Scheme is a registered charity and has a board of trustees. A small team of paid part time staff including co-ordinator, outreach worker, development officer and fundraiser support the operation of the scheme.

At present the project is well established at Coldingley Prison. The part time detached youth worker has established outreach placements for those men who have moved on to their final prison. The scheme is moving to an exciting phase of its development by exploring replicating the model in another prison and looking to appoint a full time development manager.

“I attended the Crime Diversion Scheme in July with 2 students and I wanted to express my appreciation to yourself and the prisoners for a truly enlightening experience. The day was fantastic, the men were brilliant please do pass on
my thanks and congratulations to them. In the car on the way home the boys who are normally quite quiet were talking the whole time about how they intended to change their ways. They were shocked by the experience the men had conveyed to them and did not want to experience it themselves. Once again many thanks. Having attended once I am now earmarking a few other students who I know would benefit.”
