How we work

Our weekly programme of one-day workshops – delivered by serving prisoners – is targeted at young people who are either in the criminal justice system or at risk of entering it. The effective working partnership that KeepOut has built with HMP Coldingley, HMP Lewes and HMP Send achieves positive outcomes for young people and prisoners. KeepOut also partners with Surrey Youth Justice Service (YJS), who support and enhance the intervention provided to young people. This partnership with the YJS assists us with the training of prisoners to develop their skills and competencies, and ensures we meet the needs of the young people who are brought into the prisons to learn and benefit from KeepOut – The Crime Diversion Scheme.
