Together with copies of the all the Pre-event questionnaires completed by your young people (see below) this must be handed to the KeepOut staff member on arrival. 6 Your organisation conducts a pre-event session with all young people due to attend a KeepOut workshop – this must include the completion of the Pre-event questionnaire (User Information Pack Annex B) and the distribution and discussion of the Notice to young people (User Information Pack Annex G). 7 One week before attending the KeepOut workshop, your organisation must complete and forward the Attendance list (User Information Pack Annex H) to the KeepOut Operations Manager by email angela.murray@hmps.gsi.gov.uk 8 On the day of the workshop event, your group must arrive at HMP Lewes at 10.00 hours; a member of the KeepOut team will greet you at the entrance. Copies of the Pre-event questionnaires completed by your young people must be handed to the KeepOut staff member on arrival. How to book for HMP Lewes To book to attend an event, please follow this proceedure: 1 Before you can bring a group of young people to a KeepOut workshop, one member of your accompanying staff must attend a KeepOut Information Day. These are run (subject to demand) twice a month on a Thursday morning from 0900 - 1100. The event provides you with an overview of the workshop, with explanations and demonstrations of exercises and techniques used. To attend a User Group event, please contact the KeepOut Operations Manager by email: angela.murray@hmps.gsi.gov.uk 2 Your organisation must complete and email our Event Request Form (User Information Pack Annex E) to the KeepOut Lewes Operations Manager: angela.murray@hmps.gsi.gov.uk This form also confirms that all your accompanying members of staff have a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. 3 The KeepOut Operations Manager sends a confirmation email to your organisation and may request information for a Police National Computer (PNC) check from all staff attending a KeepOut workshop (this could take up to 2 to 3 weeks). 4 Police National Computer (PNC) check details are forwarded to the KeepOut Operations Manager. 5 Your organisation ensures that a Parent/Guardian | young people prior to them entering the prison. These should be placed in one of the prison lockers – individual lockers will not be available. 11 Everyone entering HMP Lewes will be searched. Any member of your group carrying Prohibited items (User Information Pack Annex G) may be refused entry. On occasions, the security staff will be on duty with their dogs at the entrance, to check young people for possession of drugs. 12 In the event of an incident which may delay the arrival of your group, your Group Leader is asked to contact HMP Lewes on 01273 785100. | |||||
